SNOW!!!! 12/18/2009

My husband's and my holiday party is on Saturday, December 19, and the weather forecasters predict snow, LOTS of snow. We were expecting 50 people more or less to show up for the party, but what shall we do with the food if it snows and few come? Ack!

The Firma Sisters Coming Along 12/05/2009

One-fourth of my book is done. This is the second draft of the book. Although I did not finish the book in the first draft, I decided since I was changing it from third person to first person, I needed to start the second draft at the beginning. I'm glad I did that. Writing in first person makes considerable changes and improvements to the book. Although I'm not reusing all of the nearly 300 pages of the first draft, I'm using quite a bit, but it's changed. It's better, tighter, and more focused. I'm making great progress and am writing more quickly than before even though I've written totally new chapters as well as rewritten or changed some of the old material. I'm having a good time. I previously hoped to get a publishing contract on this book in 2010. The quality of this draft assures me that I will. This book is markedly different from others, is funny, and moves along. I'm going to be quite proud of it, which is a good feeling.

    Author

I'm a writer, a reader, an amateur artist, a science fiction and fantasy fan, an Egyptology enthusiast, the youngest child and only girl in a family of three children, a woman who found happiness in her second marriage, and someone who's looking forward to retirement when she'll work for herself. Oh, and I'm the goddess Denise according to the One World Tree (see Chez Timpko News 2006 on my Home page).
